Frequently Asked Questions

Scale is one of the most important yet complex aspects of figure collecting. Determining exact scales can be tricky because:

  • Dinosaurs varied greatly in size, even within the same species
  • Fossil records provide estimates, not exact measurements
  • Manufacturers may use different reference points for the same species
Example: An Asian elephant can measure between 5.5m - 6.5m in length. A 16.25cm figure could represent 1:34 scale (for a 5.5m elephant) or 1:40 scale (for a 6.5m elephant).

Our Scale Categories:

Large: 1:1 to 1:9
Standard: 1:10, 1:13, 1:15, 1:18
Medium: 1:20 to 1:95
Small: 1:100+

Calculate scale: Actual Size (mm) ÷ Figure Size (mm) = Scale
